Why Enter and Compete for ESG Awards?

If you’re in the process of establishing yourself as an industry leader, or a particularly effective ESG compliant business, sometimes the results of your own actions can speak for themselves – but when it comes to getting attention, whether that’s from customers, investors, or the media, it’s often more powerful to have ‘proof’ of your efforts, and an established and trusted sustainability award can provide this extra oomph.

When deciding what to apply for, think carefully about what you’re doing, what your budget is, and whether there’s enough backing and benefits behind your chosen award to make it worth the time and effort.

Also, if it looks like you’re being asked to buy an award (this is often the case with generic or little-known awards that tend to ask you what award name you would like or would aim for), then you need to think very carefully about whether it’s beneficial or not.

Your ESG and sustainability actions need to be carefully considered, and the last thing you want is to undermine your efforts by having people think that you’ve just paid for the recognition.
